Overview

From when we sold our very first bra way back in 2005, to today when we sell one approximately every 30 seconds, passion and playfulness is at the heart of everything we do.  Our team is not the only thing about Pour Moi that’s expanding! Our range has grown along with us to include clothing, sportswear, nightwear and hosiery with exciting new developments planned for future seasons.  

Our predicted annual turnover is £25 million, making us one of the leading brands in lingerie and swimwear. With sales increasing year on year, it means we need more brilliant people who share our passion, to join in with the next part of our story.

WHOLESALE & RETAIL SALES MANAGER

We are looking for a commercially minded and results-driven Wholesale and Retail Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing a diverse range of retail accounts with a strong track record of driving sales, building lasting relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. You will bring excellent communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of sales performance metrics, and a proactive, strategic approach to wholesale and retail account management.

Based at our Brighton HQ, you will report to the Commercial Director and work collaboratively with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to support the broader commercial strategy. You will be responsible for growing and nurturing key partnerships, leading seasonal sell-ins, forecasting sales, and conducting detailed performance reviews across our Wholesale and Retail chain. You will manage a small team, providing coaching, feedback and support. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Wholesale and retail management.

  • Own and grow wholesale and concession distribution in line with business goals for both national and international markets. Identify new strategic partners.
  • Build strong relationships with store teams including 3 brand retail outlets, working effectively to understand their business and to provide excellent communication and motivation.
  • Supporting on prep and install of tradeshows / showrooms and holding key appointments.
  • Collaborate with marketing and buying on critical path to ensure all selling tools and products are ready for the selling cycle.
  • Own the revenue and profit strategy for all channels feeding into quarterly, yearly and 5 year plans.
  • Work with operations to identify new retail outlet opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchandising, buying, retail managers, brand and marketing to aid and drive wholesale and retail sales objectives and revenue goals.
  • Continual competitive analysis and insight to identify and adapt selling strategy.

Product & Planning Strategy

  • Drive the assortment strategy for each Channel, ensuring relevance to consumer needs and retail positioning.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to deliver account-specific assortments, margin targets, and sell-through goals.
  • Input into seasonal product strategy by sharing customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Lead on accurate forecasting, stock allocation, and replenishment strategies across wholesale and retail outlets.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Serve as the commercial lead for key account discussions, bringing a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Mentor and support team members within head office and in the field, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning, developing a high performing team.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for account needs and opportunities within strategic planning conversations.

 WHO YOU ARE:

  • Commercially Savvy Operator: you have a strong instinct for sales and strategy, always looking for ways to grow revenue, optimise performance, and add value to every account.
  • Confident Communicator: you’re articulate and persuasive, able to lead conversations with clarity—whether pitching to buyers, negotiating terms, or presenting insights.
  • Relationship Builder: you thrive on collaboration and know how to nurture long-term partnerships, both internally and with external retail partners.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: you love diving into sales reports, identifying patterns, and using data to guide your approach and inform your strategy.
  • Adaptable Problem-Solver: you stay calm under pressure, think on your feet, and can pivot quickly when challenges arise or priorities shift.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a wholesale or account management role within fashion retail.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key retail partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the fashion wholesale market and retail distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant ERP/CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel as required for account meetings, store visits, and trade shows.
  • Existing network of retail buyers and department store contacts.

BONUS IF YOU:

  • Have experience with international markets.
  • Have experience with Distributors.
  • Have experience working in the lingerie and swimwear market.
  • Have marketplace experience.
