Taking a little extra care of your favourite bra will have long term benefits for you and your bra.

We suggest hand-washing all our bras. We know it is a bit of a drag, but you will be pleased when your favourite bra lasts longer. Your bra might look delicate but it is very hard working. This is why we select fabrics not just because they look pretty, but for their technical qualities too - softness or elasticity, for example. The more careful you are with your bra, the longer it will retain these qualities.

Top tips for hand-washing your bra

Tip 1. Dab any stains with mild soap and water and gently rub.

Tip 2. Soak for a few minutes, then gently work the suds into the fabric and rinse.

Tip 3. To get rid of excess water, fold and gently press the bra in a towel before laying it out to dry.

Tip 4. If you do decide to wash on gentle cold in the machine be sure to hook the bra together to avoid snagging it on other clothing or use a mesh lingerie bag.
