After heading to Spotify and analysing the data of over 20,000 songs across saucy playlists, including 'Let me horny it’s 2023’ and ‘Sex Music Bangers Playlist 2023', we can reveal the sexiest songs for a raunchy night in.

Hot nights aren't just for couples though, oh no. Singletons are open about showing themselves some love too. To reveal which artists were the most popular for those going solo, we also analysed over 10,000 songs across various playlists, such as 'Masturbating & meditating', to unearth the sexiest artists for those getting sensual alone.

The study revealed that ‘Earned It’ by the Weeknd was the most popular song choice for those looking to seduce their partner. The song featured on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack and is still a firm favourite with fans around the world today, despite being released over eight years ago in 2015. The Canadian singer’s hits also rank in second, third and fourth place, with ‘Often’, ‘High For This’ and ‘The Hills’ all making the top spots.

Two Feet sees three of his songs in the top 10, with hits including ‘Love Is a Bitch’ and ‘Go F*ck Yourself’ ranking. The 30-year-old indie artist from New York City has produced some suggestive songs in recent years with lyrics penned to catchy alternative tunes, making his work a massive hit with those looking to get things warmed up between the sheets.

Doja Cat’s ‘Streets’ ranks in 8^th place; the contemporary R&B hit was released back in 2019 but proves it's still the perfect song to get sexy to, with its slower, more sexual tempo.

Two more songs from the popular Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack appear in the top 15, with ‘Crazy In Love’ by Beyoncé and ‘I Put A Spell On You’ by Annie Lennox both among some of the most popular songs. The songs were recreated with a seductive tone which made for the perfect pairing to racy scenes throughout the film, as well as the perfect mood-setting music for those looking to try something more risqué in the bedroom.  

In 2023 the most popular artist to listen to during lovemaking by a mile is The Weeknd, with songs by the Canadian singer appearing over 637 times across numerous playlists dedicated to having sex. With so many of the top sexy songs ranking by the singer, it’s no surprise to see him as the most in-demand artist to turn up the heat to. His songs don’t shy away from talking about sex; in fact, a lot of his lyrics are straightforward and to the point when it comes to things going down in the bedroom – perhaps his sensual lyrics are the reason people love to listen to him.

Following in second place is Two Feet, a singer-songwriter from New York whose catchy alternative indie tunes provide a sensual mood sure to get lovers lost in the moment. With three of his hits featuring in the top 15 most popular seductive songs – it might come as no surprise to see him feature as one of the most listened to artists.

Beyoncé ranks third overall, making her the most popular female artist to listen to whilst getting sensual. The global superstar possesses a diverse range of songs from her recent releases, including 'Break My Soul', which has elements of disco beats, to her slower, more soulful vocals, such as ‘I Care’.

Doja Cat makes the top five, and it’s easy to see why – with so many hits containing sexual references, the star doesn’t shy away from adding lyrics talking about sex and her exploits in the bedroom.

R&B artists are a firm favourite with couples looking to get it on, with Usher and Rihanna both featuring – both hugely successful stars they an impressive number of hits between them that make for the perfect backdrop for those looking to get things heated up in the bedroom.

Sneaking into the top 15 is a somewhat surprising entry, Taylor Swift. This year it seems Swifties all around the world are adding her to their saucy playlists.

The top ten artists for solo sex include a varied mix, proving there’s something for everyone when it comes to seeking pleasure alone. Songs by Kanye West appear the most across the various masturbating playlists, with the rappers' tunes proving to be the most popular. Whilst he may be a controversial artist to listen to, his songs often feature sexually expressive lyrics – which are clearly getting people in the mood around the world.

The tragically romantic songs penned by Lana Del Rey are also favoured by many looking to get steamy at home solo, the singer features in second place. After touring globally throughout the summer, it seems her sultry tracks have been a hit with fans looking to indulge in some self-satisfaction this year.

The Weeknd, who topped the list as the most popular artist for couples, is also highly favoured by saucy singles – he ranks in third place for solo loving. The Canadian star’s songs are not only catchy but also feature explicit lyrics that are bound to get your imagination working overtime.

Alternative artists are also a favourable choice for sensual singles, with Paramore and Deftones also making the top ten. Whilst these bands might not be the most oblivious choice for getting you in the mood for some self-pleasure, it looks like people from all around the world are putting them as they seek solo satisfaction.  

Perhaps surprisingly several rappers also make the top ten, with Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem all featuring – proving that clearly all sorts of genres can get us in the mood for some solo play.
