We’ve all heard the saying “dress for success”, but what if we told you that this does not just relate professionally. It can relate to what you wear at the gym too! Choosing the right sportswear can not only improve your performance, but it can also influence your confidence too! Yes, that cute workout outfit that you’ve been putting off wearing can in fact help you look and feel fabulous in the gym. How well do my workout clothes need to fit?
When it comes to fit, it’s down to you. We’re not here to tell you what you should or shouldn’t be wearing. If you prefer a baggy top over a crop top, then go ahead do you! But there are some things you might want to consider beforehand. Whilst you may find comfort and confidence in more loose-fitting sportswear, it’s important to be aware of how this might impact your workout. Loose-fitting items might snag on workout equipment or get in the way when you’re busy putting in those miles on the treadmill. Likewise, sportswear that’s tight-fitting might restrict your range of movement and feel uncomfortable if too tight. The best workout clothes to wear to help you feel like your most confident and fabulous self, are those that fit your body perfectly.
What workout clothes should I wear?
We want you to feel confident when working out, so wear clothes that make you feel most comfortable in your own skin. However, there are certain fabrics that might be wise to avoid. Items made from 100% cotton might look fabulous at the start of your workout but by the end they could become wet and heavy. Not a look that we’re a fan of! Your favourite cotton t-shirt might not be your favourite workout partner as cotton fabrics tend to absorb moisture. Meaning those sweaty workouts might become a whole lot harder in your favourite cotton t-shirt.
